Suzuki rider Alex Rins went one better on Sunday as the Spaniard put in a 1:54.593 to go fastest on Day 2, but it remained tight at the top as the tables turned and Maverick Vinales ended the day just 0.057 in arrears.

Qatar test: "Good, really good" first day for Dovozioso
Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso was third fastest on the opening day of the Qatar Test but it’s not all about the timesheets and laptimes, especially when conditions aren’t quite ideal.
After getting his first run out on his RC213V since his shoulder operation at the Sepang Test, Honda rider Marc Marquez confirmed that he’s taken a “huge step” forward in terms of his physical condition on Day 1 at the Qatar Test.
Yamaha rider Maverick Vinales topped the first day of the Qatar Test, putting in a 1:55.051 to head the grid after a late charge for supremacy. It was close though, with the Suzuki of Alex Rins (Suzuki) just 0.108 back – and the two set those laps close together on track.
