Lewis Hamilton has made it clear when he leaves Formula 1, that will mark the end of his racing career.
The Briton made the comments when asked by Spain's Marca if he would consider following Fernando Alonso in attempting the Triple Crown.
Consisting of the Monaco Grand Prix, Le Mans 24 Hours and Indianapolis 500, the double world champion needs just the latter to become the second driver in history to achieve it.
Hamilton, who has two victories in Monte Carlo to his name in his career, made a rather strange admission, however.
“No, no. I’d never heard of the Triple Crown until last year, it’s not something that particularly worries me," he said. “It’s not something for me to think about or something that I want to do.”
In fact, when the 34-year-old does eventually decide he's had enough of F1, it appears his current forays into fashion and music will then become his priority.
"When I finish in Formula 1, I will stop driving to do other things. I don’t have any desire to continue racing,” Hamilton declared.

It is often pondered when that time will come, with the five-time champion under contract until the end of 2020, and some wonder if it is dependent on Mercedes remaining competitive at the front.
Lewis though insists he remains as motivated as ever.
"It's easy, very easy to find motivation," he said. "You just have to look around and see what people are doing in the world. There are so many inspiring people that you can take inspiration from and then set new goals for yourself.
"I'm still the most competitive person I know. The other day I lost in a game against my father and it hurt me just like when I was a child and I lost to him at something.
"Fortunately for me, determination is not something I have to fight for."
