Ferrari had little positive to say about their latest efforts to improve the performance of the SF90 at the French Grand Prix.
The Italian team spent much of Friday morning completing back-to-back tests of a new front wing for this weekend in addition to changes they have made across the car to try and cure their downforce woes.
Onboards, particularly from Sebastian Vettel's car, still showed a lot of understeer in the corners and the German would end the day behind teammate Charles Leclerc, eight-tenths off the pace.
"Not so good, to be honest, a lot of work ahead of us," he said in his assessment.
"Yeah, didn't bring what we were expecting, so we'll see what we can try and find overnight, to maybe be a bit better off tomorrow."
Team boss Mattia Binotto agreed though did say some of the updates would continue to be used.
"Not perfect," he declared. "I think we brought here some parts which were important for us to test to understand the direction of development.
"A few parts will be kept and considered positive, and the ones that have been removed are considered part of our test plan but not intended to be raced for the weekend."
Leclerc was a little more positive though...
"Some parts were very good, some others a bit less, so tomorrow we'll put everything together and hopefully it will be a positive day for us," he analysed.

And despite the large gap to Mercedes, Binotto tried to keep some hope that the Silver cars won't have it all their own way.
"We are suffering in the last sector. It's very similar to Barcelona," he was quoted by Sky Sports.
"I would say it's not unexpected because that's the characteristics you may have and the car we have at the moment.
"Mercedes seems certainly stronger but the weekend is not over and there is still a lot of performance to be found. Let's see how the track evolves and how we optimise our package."
