Ferrari has conducted a 100km filming day/shakedown of their new SF90 car ahead of pre-season testing.

On-site at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Sebastian Vettel completed the majority of the driving before handing over to Charles Leclerc in the afternoon.

This year sees a series of aerodynamic changes aimed to improve the racing with simplified wings and bargeboards.

The downside is, however, after seeing the fastest F1 cars ever in 2018, performance will be lost because of the new rules.

"We predicted an impact of 1.5s per lap when we [first tested] in the windtunnel and it's what we got," said Ferrari technical director and team boss Mattia Binotto.

"These cars are heavier compared to last year, and the aerodynamics, especially the front wing, has been simplified a lot.

"The expectation has been 1.5s and that has been [proven], so now it is how much we recover of the 1.5s during the entire period of development.

"How much the others recovered, only the track can tell."

Vettel will be back behind the wheel of the new Prancing Horse for day one of testing on Monday.
