As Williams miss another half a day at least, of pre-season testing, former driver Lance Stroll admits some sadness at their predicament.
Delays with the FW42 meant the new car didn't arrive in Barcelona until early Wednesday morning and the team has been frantically trying to put it together since.
Asked about the situation, the Canadian, who has joined the Racing Point team for 2019 after it was bought by his father last summer, wouldn't be drawn into making assessments.
“I don’t know the ins and outs so I won’t comment on that but it’s a shame to see them sitting on the sidelines,” he told Crash.net.
The 20-year-old was honest though about any sense of relief towards not having to worry about the situation at Williams.
“I’d be lying if I said no, so yes!" Stroll said. “It’s better to be driving than standing here but I wish them all the best to recover.”

Meanwhile, there is new reporting on the atmosphere within Grove and particularly, the displeasure towards technical director Paddy Lowe.
“There is understood to be fury within Williams not just at the car’s shortcomings, but at Lowe’s inability to accept responsibility,” the Telegraph claimed.
"Patience with Lowe is at breaking point.”
There is also concerns the new car will remain far off the pace from their midfield rivals despite previous hopes for progress to be made after their torrid 2018.
