Mick Schumacher could make his first appearance in a Formula 1 car as soon as the post-race test in Bahrain in April, Sky Italia claims.
The 19-year-old son of seven-time champion Michael is preparing for his first year in F2 and as part of the Ferrari Academy program, which he joined last month.
And with the regulations stating two of the four in-season test days must be given to young drivers, it is rumoured Schumacher could drive for Alfa Romeo in Sakhir.

Certainly, it would be a great experience for Mick, as he continues his journey towards F1, however, another son of a world champion, Nico Rosberg is requesting patience.
"It will be a huge amount of pressure for him, and I know it too well," he told Die Welt newspaper. "When he drives, half of Germany is watching. I'm looking forward to it but the expectations are huge.
"We have to give him at least two years," the 2016 champion added. "He should take the time that he needs."
Rosberg does think being part of the Ferrari Academy offers Schumacher access to another vital source of information, the driver who took over as Germany's F1 torchbearer; Sebastian Vettel.
"Mick can learn a lot from Vettel on a race weekend," he stated. "Sebastian works very much in the same way as Mick's father did back then."
