Robert Kubica still doesn't know if he will continue as a Williams driver in 2020.
During the summer break, several respected journalists suggested there was only a small chance the Pole would be retained with reserve driver Nicholas Latifi considered a likely replacement.
Disappointing performances compared to teammate George Russell won't help Kubica's cause and he accepts his future isn't in his hands.
“I don’t know what I will do in 2020,” he was quoted by GrandPrix247.com at the Verva Street Racing event in Poland this past weekend.
“There are no details yet. There are plans, but not everything depends on me. We’ll see how it goes. The situation is like every year — it is necessary to be patient."

Kubica would also respond to claims by Russell that Polish fans send "hate" to the Mercedes junior via social media, with the Briton opting not to go to Poland for the event last weekend.
“I don’t know if he is making a mistake, but I just saw the article and I was a bit surprised that he said it before an event like this,” he was quoted by PlanetF1.
“I was personally on stage when Polish fans chanted his name, just as they chant mine, they really supported him with open arms.
“Apparently George reads posts on his social media, but I don’t do that so I don’t have those problems," the 35-year-old admitted.
“A dozen or so years ago I learned not to read reviews. I do my job and people have the right to express opinions.
“Formula 1 is so complicated that making judgements is not easy.”
