It was a tough Catalan GP for Andrea Iannone and his team Suzuki, as the GP winner came home outside the points under the scorching skies of Barcelona – and the Italian says his trouble was with low grip. He crossed the line in P16, just outside the points.

“We are having a difficult time. We know it. Some races we are better, some others are worse. The only thing we can do is to keep on working. We have two testing days here and we will try to do our best." Said the maniac

"Today’s race was hard from the beginning; I had no grip at all, both at the front and the back, so it was complicated. I couldn't push it any harder, because I always felt like I was already at the limit."

"I tried to manage the situation without crashing, but the result was below our expectations and also our potential." He added

After a difficult race day it was back on track to test to try and find some solutions, with the Italian putting in 78 laps in a full day of work on Monday - and more on Tuesday.

"We had the main focus of retesting some items we already had at our disposal, since it was important we check if are moving in the right direction. We found some confirmation of this, which means we are set to move forward, working to refine what we have already developed." He declared

"Then we have new items that arrived from Japan, but we only introduced them at the end of the day. On Tuesday we will test more intensively. It has been a hard working day."

"But that’s what is needed to become more efficient and solve some of the problems we are encountering with the performance and the feeling of the bike". Concluded Iannone
