The second WTCR test day saw Gordon Shedden posting the fastest lap of 1:54.434 in the afternoon session, which also placed him on top of the two-day combined results.

The Scot and his Leopard Racing Audi RS 3 LMS were only 74 thousandths of a second faster than Nelson Girolami who clocked the time of 1:54.508 in one of the Münnich Motorsport Honda Civic cars.

These results demoted Girolami’s teammate Esteban Guerrieri – the fastest driver in day 1 with a lap of 1:54.531 – to third in the combined results. Today Guerrieri’s best effort was 1:55.026 that placed him fifth.

Only two other drivers were able to complete a lap under the 1:55 mark, both in this afternoon’s session: Jean-Karl Vernay in the second Leopard Racing Audi (1:54.839) and Ma Qing Hua in the Team Mulsanne Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce (1:54.926). The Chinese was followed by his teammate Kevin Ceccon (1:55.613) and series newcomers Niels Langeveld (Comtoyou Racing Audi, 1:55.615) and Daniel Haglöf (PWR Racing CUPRA, 1:56.120).

The top-ten for today were rounded off by Yann Ehrlacher (Cyan Racing Lynk&Co, 1:56.212) and Haglöf teammate Mikel Azcona (1:56.305).

Reigning champion Gabriele Tarquini ranked 14th again in the fastest BRC Racing Hyundai i30 N car.
