Hitech GP added Dan Ticktum and Pavan Ravishankar to their line up for the FIA Asian F3 Winter Series, set to get underway this weekend at Buriram International Circuit in Thailand.

Red Bull Junior and two-time Macau Grand Prix winner Dan Ticktum, and former BRDC British F3 driver Pavan Ravishankar will get behind the wheel of the Tatuus T-318 car in a quest for podiums and points. Joining the duo will be F4 SEA 2018 champion Alessandro Ghiretti and 2018 Pro Mazda Champion Rinus van Kalmthout (VeeKay), forming a four-car assault.

After clinching the team’s and drivers title in the inaugural FIA F3 Asian Championship last year, Hitech GP will battle for victory in the Asian F3 Winter Series in hopes of building on their success.

The Top Speed-led series encompasses three triple-header rounds, debuting at Thailand’s Buriram International Circuit this weekend, with two further rounds at Malaysia's Sepang International Circuit, on January 18th and February 22nd.

Reflecting on the announcement, Dan Ticktum commented: "I’m really looking forward to taking part in something I haven't driven a lot at new circuits."

"The main reason is to get my hands on some superlicence points. I will however benefit from extra track time over the winter at two prestigious circuits, so overall I am really looking forward to getting started!”

Pavan Ravishankar added: “I am absolutely delighted to be competing in the Asian F3 Winter Series as it is the perfect opportunity to get some racing under my belt in preparation for my 2019 season. I am especially pleased to be joining Hitech GP, as I believe with their wealth of experience and professionalism I will be able to make a positive step forward and achieve the best possible results with their support.”

Hitech GP's F3 Asian Team Manager, Phil Blow, said:

“We are pleased to add Ticktum and Pavan to our winter series line up. With their impressive on-track record, we hope to head up the order over the three rounds and score some promising results – hopefully we can take the title home again!”
