Red Bull will give their two highest-profile MotoGP riders, Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa, the opportunity to drive their V8-powered Formula 1 car around the Red Bull Ring next month.
The tests are nothing more than a chance for the current Honda pair to simply enjoy themselves on four wheels instead of two but their outings will follow similar appearances for Valentino Rossi with Ferrari and Jorge Lorenzo with Mercedes, though only the prior was thought to be seriously considering a switch.
It will also come before F1 makes their now annual trip to the Styrian mountains for the Austrian Grand Prix next month at the circuit which bought was bought and renovated by the energy drinks giant.
Seat fittings will take place at the Milton Keynes factory after this weekend’s Monaco GP and should Marquez, who has already etched his place in MotoGP history, drive well, who knows!
