The partnership between Prema and the Ferrari Driver Academy will provide another great addition to the team for 2018. Coming from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Gianluca Petecof will be lining up for a double effort in the Italian and German Formula 4 Championships.
Born in 2002, Petecof joined the FDA program last December and he is now ready to make his full-time debut in single seaters.
Petecof enjoyed a fair share of success in kart racing, including a 5th place in the CIK-FIA World Championship, OKJ class, and raced as a manufacturer driver in the Tony Kart Racing Team.
For him, 2018 will be a challenging and busy learning season, with the goal of making progress and preparing for an exciting future while battling among the rookie contenders.

Petecof Added: ““2018 is set to be a big year for me since it will be my first in single seaters. I will be racing in Formula 4, and I’m excited about the new challenges of the season ahead.”
“To race for the incredibly successful team that Prema is, and to be part of the Ferrari Driver Academy, representing the most successful and legendary brand in Motorsport, is something that every young driver dreams.”
