    Mercedes-AMG Testteam HTP Motorsport on pole for the inaugural 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS

    The Mercedes-AMG Testteam HTP Motorsport Mercedes-AMG GT4 (#84, Bernd Schneider/Indy Dontje/Jörg Viebahn) will start the 12H SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS from pole position.

    Five times DTM champion Bernd Schneider lapped the wet 7.004 kilometre circuit in 2:52.209 minutes. With a 2.8 second margin, the Red Camel-Jordans.nl SEAT LCR TCR V3 DSG (#303, Rik Breukers/Ivo Breukers) went into second place overall and into the TCR class lead.

    In positions three and four, the Mercedes-AMG Testteam Black Falcon Mercedes-AMG GT4 (#2, Saud Al Faisal/Alexander Toril/Miguel Toril/Adam Christodoulou) and the Mercedes-AMG Testteam Uwe Alzen Automotive Mercedes-AMG GT4 (#211, Mike Stursberg/Chris Tiger/Fabian Hamprecht/Christian Hohenadel) rounded off the top three positions in the SP3-GT4 class.

    The TCR rankings continued in seventh and eighth place overall with the MONLAU COMPETICION SEAT LCR TCR V3 DSG (#107, Jurgen Smet/Jose Manuel Perez Aicart/Alba Cano Ramirez/Alvaro Bajo) and the LMS Racing Powered by Bas Koeten SEAT Leon TCR V2 DSG (#119, Kari-Pekka Laaksonen/Olli Kangas/Antti Buri).

    With 21st position overall, the Sorg Rennsport BMW M235i Racing Cup (#152, Seth Thomas/Dan Rogers/James Colborn/Chris Wadle) led the way in the CUP1 class. The overall championship leaders, the QSR Racingschool BMW M235i Racing Cup (#154, Jimmy de Breucker/Guillaume Dumarey/Rodrigue Gillion/Mario Timmers), qualified in second. Third spot went to the JJ Motorsport BMW M235i Racing Cup (#192, Mansoor Hamad Al Haijri/Abdulla Ali Al Khelaffi/Mahmoud Mohd Al Khalef).

    The Synchro Motorsport Honda Civic Type R (#176, Alyn James/Daniel Wheeler/Martin Byford) had the upper hand in the competitive A3 class, which features eight entrants this weekend. Second place went to the MALTI COMPETITION SEAT Leon Supercopa MK2 (#128, Philippe Burel/Victor Fernandes/Dominique Nury) ahead of the PDM Motorsport BMW Z3 M Coupé (#88, Pierre de Landsheere/Dimitri Kluyskens/Maxence Vandekerckhove).

    The Team Sally Racing Renault Clio Cup III (#52, Martin Sally Pedersen/Mads Christensen/Steffan Jusjong) topped the A2 timing sheets. Second in class was the BASTUCK Motorsport Kia Cee’d GT/R (#164, Bernhard Wagner/Guido Naumann/Marijan Griebel) in their first ever campaign in the 24H TCE SERIES. The HTM Racing Volkswagen Golf TDI (#222, Monny Krant/Henk Thijssen) settled for third.

    The first part of the season finale will run on Saturday from 14.45 hrs to 17.50 hrs, followed by the remaining race time on Sunday from 9.00 hrs to 17.55 hrs. On Sunday evening, the title-winners will be honoured during the inaugural Night of the Champions.
