Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has denied any possibility of Sebastian Vettel rejoining his former team.
The German’s future at Ferrari is again at the centre of debate after an Italian Grand Prix which saw Charles Leclerc take victory, while Vettel spun out and eventually finished 13th.
After qualifying on Saturday, however, the four-time world champion was once again seen at Red Bull, leading Marko to be asked if a return was being contemplated…
“I have no idea what Vettel’s future is,” he told Speed Week. “We had some wonderful years together, but we have our four drivers.”
The Anglo-Austrian team also currently has a driver many see as their new Vettel in Max Verstappen.
However, his future beyond 2020 is uncertain with Red Bull and at Monza, the Dutchman teased possibly joining Ferrari alongside Leclerc.
“Charles and I could get along at the same team,” he suggested.
“We both want to win, but we respect each other. I won’t deny that there could be conflicts, but it wouldn’t be like Hamilton and Rosberg at Mercedes.”

Right now though, he remains committed to his current team with the only uncertainty being who his teammate will be next year.
Alex Albon is making his case for the seat and has finished fifth and sixth in his first two races at Red Bull, but Daniil Kvyat and Pierre Gasly remain alternatives.
Now Marko has revealed just how long each driver has to wait before a decision is made.
“After the USA race, we will evaluate who will drive where in 2020,” he stated.
