    Rebellion Racing take top spot in Le Mans night practice

    The third free practice session of the day saw the 59 cars take to the track for four hours of running after sunset. 

    The no3 Rebellion Racing R13 posted the fastest time of the session, which was cut short by 15 minutes due to a red flag caused by the no62 Red River Sport Ferrari going off at Indianapolis.

    The no3 R13’s best time was 3m19.158, which was 0.480s ahead of the no7 Toyota and six tenths ahead of the no1 Rebellion R13.  The no8 Toyota was 4th, 1.5 seconds behind the lead car. 

    The no4 Bykolles Racing Team ended the session in 18th overall after an earlier crash that damaged the front end of the car.

    The no92 Porsche 911 RSR-19 was the quickest of the eight LMGTE Pro runners, with a 3m52.177 lap, just under three tenths quicker than the two Aston Martins, with the no97 Vantage two tenths quicker than the no95 car.

    The LMP2 class was led by the no30 Duqueine Team Oreca with a 3m28.013 lap time, 0.9 seconds ahead of the no32 United Autosports Oreca and the no26 G-Drive Racing Aurus.

    The no70 MR Racing Ferrari headed the LMGTE Am class at the end of the four hour session with a time of 3m54.490, 0.1 seconds ahead of the no98 Aston Martin Racing Vantage and the no60 Iron Lynx Ferrari.

    There will be a further 60-minute practice session at 10h00 on Friday which will be followed by the Hyperpole session to determine the top six places on the grid in each class, which will begin at 11h30 and conclude at midday.
