Mattia Binotto is expected to give up his role as Ferrari technical director in a restructuring of the engineering team at Maranello.

Enrico Cardile, David Sanchez and Carrado Iotti are the three names reported in Italian media for those respective roles, however, former chief designer Simone Resta is also expected to rejoin in an unspecified having left Alfa Romeo.

The reports note the new structure will be introduced to work on the 2020 car, rather than trying to shortcomings of the underwhelming SF90 this season.

No official announcement has yet been made, but one may be forthcoming ahead of this weekend’s German Grand Prix at Hockenheim.
