Campos Racing has signed its first driver for the inaugural season of the all-new Formula 3 Championship.

The first driver announced on the Campos Racing line-up is 18-year-old Sebastián Fernández, who races with a Spanish license.

Fernández made his debut in Europe contesting the Italian Formula 4 Championship, the ADAC Formel 4 and the F4 Spanish Championship in 2016 and immediately achieved several wins and podium finishes. More recently, the new driver of Campos Racing ranked fourth in the Italian F4 series with five wins to his name.

Sebastián Fernández: “I’m happy to join the Campos Racing family to make my debut in the new FIA Formula 3 championship.”

“We need to keep working in order to fulfil our agenda and the goals that we have set for ourselves. It’s important to continue our learning process towards Formula 1.”

“I would like to thank Adrián and Adri for the opportunity to drive for their team. I’m sure it will benefit each and every one of us.”

Adrián Campos: “We were pleasantly surprised by Sebas in Abu Dhabi and I’m sure he will complete an amazing season surprising everybody. It’s such a pleasure to have such a talent joining our team.”
