MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna remain optimistic a 2020 season can be held, starting this summer.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, which has seen three million cases globally, all motor racing series have been seriously affected.

The 2020 MotoGP season has been gravely impacted with eleven races either cancelled and postponed so far, the most recent being the first Finnish GP at the KymiRing.

But it does appear, after that, the championship will most likely start in August, with either the Czech or Austrian Grand Prix being the inaugural round of the season.

Even so, in a recent interview, Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna’s CEO spoke about a plan on how to get on with the racing in 2020.

In that, the Spanish chief spoke about four different scenarios, which also included the cancellation of the entire season.

Meanwhile, other racing series, such as Formula 1, have announced serious intentions on resuming the 2020 season around early to mid-July.
