DTM: Juncadella joins Di Resta to complete R-Motorsport’s Aston line-up

R-Motorsport has firmed up its Aston Martin line-up by announcing Spanish driver Daniel Juncadella as the fourth and final member of its team.

Daniel will race alongside Paul Di Resta, Jake Dennis and Ferdinand Habsburg in R-Motorsport’s Aston Martin Vantage DTM cars.

The 27-year-old began his DTM career back in 2013, driving for Mercedes-Benz, and has contested 76 races, earning one victory – at Brands Hatch in the summer of 2018.

Like many of his fellow drivers, Daniel used the Formula European Masters (formerly the FIA Formula 3 European Championship) as the springboard for his professional touring car career. He won the championship in 2012, scoring five victories – an achievement that earned him graduation to DTM the following year.

With five full DTM seasons under his belt, Daniel, alongside 2010 DTM champion Paul Di Resta, brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the R-Motorsport pit garage.
