The F3 Asian Championship has unveiled a strong international entry brimming with talent for its second season which gets underway this weekend at Malaysia’s FIA Grade 1 Sepang International Circuit.

Joining Australian youngster Jack Doohan at reigning team champions Dragon Hitech GP are newly-confirmed W Series driver, Briton Jamie Chadwick, and 2018 Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix – FIA F3 World Cup entrant Ukyo Sasahara of Japan. As well as earning her place on the 18-car grid for the inaugural all-female W Series this season, Chadwick recently became the first-ever woman to be crowned MRF Challenge champion.

New Zealand talent Brendon Leitch will race with BlackArts Racing this weekend, the 23-year-old competing amongst drivers from 10 nations and territories. Leitch joins Czech driver Tom Beckhäuser and Masters class driver Thomas Luedi at the Hong Kong-based squad.

Reigning F4 China champion Jordan Dempsey of Ireland is joined at Pinnacle Motorsport by 16-year-old Australian Thomas Smith, while reigning Asian Formula Renault champion Daniel Cao of China joins Sri Lankan Eshan Pieris at Absolute Racing.

Japanese team Super License has a strong line-up with Tomoki Takahashi, fourth in the Asian Winter Series and fifth in last year’s F3 Asian Championship, joined by Japanese Formula 3 Championship driver Yu Kanamaru.
