Ferrari set for unique chassis name and livery in 2019 – report

Ferrari could be set to reveal a new look and commemorate a significant milestone with their 2019 car, it is reported.

This year will mark 90 years since founder Enzo Ferrari created the now fabled brand, and Italy’s Autosprint claims the Scuderia’s new challenger is to be named the SF90-H, rather than the SF72-H that might be expected.

The publication also claims the livery may see a move away from the traditional red colour as part of their collaboration with Mission Winnow, who first featured on the car at last year’s Japanese Grand Prix.

While it would be unthinkable to imagine a Ferrari that isn’t predominantly red, the recent unveiling of the 2019 Ducati MotoGP bike, which shares many of the same sponsors as the Italian team, could be a guide of what to what to expect.

None of this is confirmed at this point, and it’s likely we’ll have to wait until February 15 to find out, when the new car in unveiled at Maranello.
