Sergio Perez has options to return to Formula 1 in 2022, but will "do anything" to join Red Bull for next season.

On Monday, the Racing Point driver held a Zoom gathering with Mexican media, with some speculating there could be news regarding his future.

Instead, it was just a typical Q&A with a lot of attention on 2021, unsurprisingly, and when it comes to Perez potentially joining Red Bull next year, Checo is prepared to meet any terms they put forward.

"Yes, I’m willing to do anything," he said when asked if he'd accept a pay cut and move full-time to Europe.

"I want to continue in Formula 1, I want to continue to develop. The two options you mention, I don’t have a problem with either. The second one, I have lived in Europe. It wouldn’t change anything."

Last week, Perez admitted he would use 2021 to consider his future in motorsport if he wasn't in F1.

But having previously spoken about his desire to race in the sport's new era from 2022, the 30-year-old confirmed he has already received interest from teams for that year.

"I’ve thought about it [racing in other categories]," said Perez. "And to be honest, right now there is no category that motivates me enough for me to compromise and go to.

"As I said, if it’s not F1 (next year), I want to take that time off for me personally, to see what I want from my professional and personal life. I want to take that time to see what I’m going to do.

"I already have options to return to Formula 1 in 2022, That wouldn’t be a problem. The main thing is that whatever I do, I want to be 100 per cent convinced that I want to do that. As of now, no other category calls my attention."
