Max Verstappen will use his third and final engine of the season at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Honda has confirmed.

All weekend, the Dutchman has continued to use the power unit which was in the car during his high-speed crash at Silverstone after initially being given the all-clear following practice.

However, further inspections after qualifying mean Honda will take no chances for the race, and have fitted a new engine without penalty.

This power unit is the last Verstappen is allowed penalty-free for the rest of this year, leaving the Red Bull driver at risk of taking a grid drop later in the season.

As for the Silverstone engine, that will again head back to Honda's factory in Sakura for further checks to see if it can be used, likely as a practice engine, for the rest of the year.
