Hadrien David grabbed pole position for race two at Hungaroring.

The R-ace GP‘s French driver set the fastest time of 1m38.185s on his last lap in the Group B session, only 0.057 ahead of his teammate Gabriel Bortoleto. The Brazilian finished yesterday’s race in the top 10 and will start this afternoon from the second row of the grid.

ART Grand Prix’s Gabriele Minì topped the Group A, securing the first row for this afternoon’s race two in 1m38.468s. The Italian was 0.123s faster than rookie Tim Tramnitz (Trident Motorsport), who is seeking redemption after yesterday’s retirement for a technical issue on his car while he was fighting for the top 10.

After leading his session, Paul Aron (Prema Racing) will start from the third row alongside Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident Motorsport). Pietro Delli Guanti (RPM) will share the fourth row of the grid with his teammate Owen Tangavelou, who is competing for the first time for the team led by Keith Donegan.

The top ten is completed by Frenchmen Maceo Capietto (Monolite Racing) and Swiss Joshua Dufek (Van Amersfoort Racing).

“It was a very good lap – said David – Our aim was to put everything on the last lap as we did in Monaco and Zandvoort. The strategy worked well and we aim to finish the job this afternoon in the race.
