Hamilton rips The Sun over Ferrari headline: ‘I’m with my ‘dream’ team’

Lewis Hamilton has savaged a headline written by The Sun newspaper regarding a possible move to Ferrari.

Earlier this week, Sebastian Vettel revealed he expects a new contract with the Scuderia to be signed before the 2020 Formula 1 season starts at some point later this year.

Naturally, if that happens, it rules out Hamilton’s chances of moving from Mercedes, but reporting the story, The Sun‘s Ben Hunt wrote as a headline ‘STALLED BY SEB: Lewis Hamilton’s dreams of mega-money Ferrari move dashed as Sebastian Vettel reveals plans to stay’.

And after spotting it, the six-time world champion couldn’t help but respond.

“First off, there is no dream of a dash to another team,” he wrote on a now-deleted Instagram story. “I am with my dream team [at Mercedes].

“Second, there’s not a thing in my way as I’m not trying to move.

“I’m with people who have cared from Day 1. We are the best team!” Hamilton concluded.

Hamilton is yet to agree to a new deal with the German manufacturer beyond 2020, however, talks are underway.
