Carlos Sainz set the early pace for Ferrari in Practice 1 at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday.
The Spaniard posted a best time of 1m18.750s as the F1-75 showed its strength around the twisty Hungaroring circuit.
Max Verstappen was just over a tenth behind in second for Red Bull, which had an edge in the first sector where the longest straights are.
Charles Leclerc would complete the top three in the other Ferrari, as the Monegasque aims to bounce back from his disappointment a week ago in France.

McLaren’s upgrade continues to show single-lap promise as a late lap from Lando Norris saw him take fourth, beating the lead Mercedes of George Russell in fifth.
Sergio Perez had a case of the sneezes as he finished only sixth in the second Red Bull with Lewis Hamilton seventh.
Daniel Ricciardo claimed eighth as the two Alpines of 2021 Hungarian GP winner Esteban Ocon and birthday boy Fernando Alonso completed the top 10.

While only expected to be used in Budapest, questions are already being raised around its legality with Sebastian Vettel 11th and Lance Stroll, who had a bouncy moment over the exit kerb at Turn 11, 12th fastest.
The AlphaTauris followed in 13th and 14th ahead of Zhou Guanyu in 15th and Alex Albon in 16th for Williams.
Haas has also brought their first and only major upgrade of the season to Budapest, featuring Ferrari-style sculpted sidepods.

Only Kevin Magnussen has the new parts for this weekend, with the Dane finishing 17th ahead of teammate Mick Schumacher in 18th.
Alfa Romeo reserve Robert Kubica made his second consecutive FP1 outing in 19th and Nicholas Latifi brought up the timesheet once again.
