Red Bull advisor Helmut Marko has admitted he misses Daniel Ricciardo, describing the team as less "jovial" without him.
The charismatic Aussie took his ball and went to Renault at the end of 2018 citing uncertainty over Honda's potential, increasing favouritism towards Max Verstappen and the need for a fresh challenge at the French manufacturer.
His departure would cause disruption at Red Bull, as Pierre Gasly struggled to fill his seat before Alex Albon did a little better after the summer break.
And now the outspoken Austrian has acknowledged the package that Ricciardo offers.
“It was a bit of a shock to the whole team when he went to Renault,” Marko was quoted as telling Motorsport-Magazin.

“He is also one of the fastest drivers and can catch up excellently when he needs to and his jokes are also missed.”
Ricciardo too might be forgiven for having a few second thoughts following a disappointing first year in yellow.
His future is likely to be subject to speculation too in 2020 with his contract expiring and Renault keen to promote from within.
Red Bull though have already said there's no way back for the 30-year-old and Marko sees enough potential in Albon for him to solidify his place this season.
“Alex has done very well,” he said. “He joined the team without having tested the car and he was in the points at every race except Brazil, where he was hit by [Lewis] Hamilton.
“He is self-critical and knows where he can improve and it is all very positive. We hope that he will be a good teammate for Verstappen this year.”
