Haas and Alfa Romeo have officially unveiled their 2020 cars in the Barcelona pit-lane ahead of Formula 1 testing.

Both teams had already given fans a first look at their new machines after completing shakedowns, but couldn't pass up the chance of a photo op in front of the world's media.

In the case of Haas, there was nothing new from what has already been seen from their livery launch online and filming day at the Spanish circuit on Monday.

Ahead of testing, however, driver Romain Grosjean spoke of the importance that the American team optimise each day of running, given this year sees the number of days reduced from eight to just six.

“It’s a big change, it’s a big difference,” the Frenchman told Motorsport. “All it takes is for the weather not to be yours and it’s a lost day right away.

“Last year, we had a lot of electrical problems when it was just a fuse somewhere that was bothering us, and it put us out of action for whole mornings.

“Now, we can’t afford to have that.

“We have to have the car working. We have to drive it and push it on a little bit, in all possible circumstances, to be ready so we know what to do at the races.”

As for Alfa, this was the first time we had seen the C39 in its racing colours and had a closer look at some of the details.

It was also confirmed during the launch that F2 driver Tatiana Calderon will be the reserve driver at the Swiss team for 2020.

On the first day of testing, however, Robert Kubica and Antonio Giovinazzi will share the driving duties.
