The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya president is expecting a deal to keep the Spanish Grand Prix to be done this summer.
There was an expectation that this weekend's race would be the last at the Catalan track following reports it would be replaced by the Dutch Grand Prix next year.
However, speaking to RaceFans, president Vicenc Aguilera suggests it is almost certain that the race will remain on the 2020 schedule.
"If it's a clear game of 'go/no-go' I think today we are even more than 90 [per cent sure it's a go]," the circuit president said.
"We should be able to reach an agreement before the peak of the summer. I don't know if it will be July but I expect an agreement on these dates. We are preparing everything to have that."

If this is true then it will raise doubts over the futures of the British, German and Mexican races after F1 CEO Chase Carey suggested two would be dropped for next year, with the assumption of one being Spain.
Aguilera believes, however, securing the event is simply about finding a deal that suits everyone.
"We have two discussions: internal discussions with my shareholders and the discussions with Liberty," he explained.
"We need to find a way to put everything in the right position to match the expectations of our government, our shareholders and the expectations of Liberty to make visible a new contract.
"[It] is not fixed if it should be two, three or four years, but this is not a big issue, of course, a big issue is economics.
"We are willing to have the Grand Prix for the next years. We are trying our best and we will keep pushing."
