Former Formula 1 chief Bernie Ecclestone has given a hopeful outlook on the health of Michael Schumacher.

The Briton was speaking in a new documentary about the 50-year-old set to be released in German-speaking nations in December, with the snippet release to German media.

Simply titled 'Schumacher', the documentary has been agreed to by the family and will offer a unique insight into the seven-time F1 champion's career.

Also included will be the skiing accident in late 2013 which left Michael in a coma as a result of serious head injuries.

While very little information has been released by the family about Schumacher's condition, Ecclestone did foresee a time when he could once again be back in the public eye.

“He is not with us at this moment, but when he is better, he will answer all the questions,” he said.

Schumacher's wife Corinna and father Rolf also both reportedly feature in the documentary.

While obviously reluctant to give any details, Corinna also offered a positive message about her husband.

“Michael is a fighter and will not give up," she stated.

The documentary is also expected to be released in English and other languages, with rights still in the process of being sold.
