Daniel Ricciardo is facing a court battle with his former manager over alleged unpaid fees related to his move to Renault.
The BBC reports Glenn Beavis has filed a lawsuit in London's High Court related to “various sums due in accordance with the commission agreed between the parties” and a figure “in excess of £10m” has been mentioned.
Ricciardo is one of two defendants, with the first being Whitedunes International Holdings Limited, a company owned by the Australian and located in the British Virgin Islands.
It is claimed by Beavis that he is owed “20% commission on the value of all new deals (he) introduced and which were subsequently concluded", including the move to Renault which was signed last August and was reported by worth around £26m per-season until the end of 2020.
He also argues that he continued to work with the former Red Bull driver up until the end of March this year, at the agreement of the Whitedunes company Ricciardo owns.

In response, Ricciardo's lawyer, Jeremy Courtenay-Stamp of Ebury Partnership, said there was "no merit" to the claims put forward by Beavis and that “we are going to defend it fully”.
That defence needs to be in place by the end of July.
