Lance Stroll is concentrating on short-term performance despite the big aspirations of his father's Racing Point team.
Just over a year after taking over the former Force India team, the Canadian-led squad is beginning to make progress having started 2019 with an underdeveloped car.
Longer-term, however, the new regulations for 2021 along with significant investment in the team's factory and elsewhere do have Racing Point targeting the very front of the grid.
"I think we have to focus on the present," Stroll commented. "What we can do moving forward is definitely in the back of our mind, but yeah we’ll see what the future holds.
"At the moment it’s really about approaching the rest of this season and then, of course, bringing the best car we can for next season.
"That’s a different story right now. We still have a lot of racing left for this year, and then we’ll see."

This season has been quite tricky for the 20-year-old, as his lack of performance on a single lap has only seen him make Q2 once, although he is currently outscoring teammate Sergio Perez by five points thanks to his P4 in Germany.
"It’s not where we want to be," he said of his results. "This sport is an unknown, there is no certainty.
"Clearly, the other teams have made some progress through the course of the first half of the season. Unfortunately, they’ve managed to leap us by a few tenths.
"That’s how it is, we just need to deal with it and bounce back," he concluded.
