Red Bull Junior driver Jack Doohan will be joining Dragon Hitech GP in the final round of the Asian F3 Winter Series at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia this weekend.

Taking to the seat of the Tatuus T-318 car in a four-car assault, 16-year-old Doohan joins Rinus VeeKay, Alessandro Ghiretti and Pavan Ravishankar in a bid to extend the team’s championship lead. Due to a clash in commitments, Dan Ticktum will not be competing in the third and final round of the Asian F3 Winter Series.

Hailing from the Gold Coast in Australia, Doohan’s racing career started in the grassroots of karting in 2013, competing in several championships and securing title honours in 2015 and 2016 consecutively in the Australian Kart Championship.

Stepping up to compete in the Italian F4 Championship, ADAC Formula 4 and British F4 Championship in 2018, Doohan added a number of podiums and race wins to his name.

With his sights set firmly on the final F3 Asia Winter Series round in Sepang this weekend, Jack Doohan added: “I’m very excited and thankful for the opportunity to be able to race the last round of this years’ Asian F3 Winter Series with such a prestigious team.”

“Knowing that I have a good and successful team backing me to do the best result possible is such a confidence boost going into the weekend. After having done a few test days at the end of last year I’m now feeling comfortable with the car/circuit and ready to take the next step for the weekend.”
