Robert Kubica has again suggested there is not parity between himself and George Russell at Williams.
The Pole has had a tough season since returning to Formula 1 eight years after his life-threatening rally crash and has failed to beat his teammate once so far.
As far back as Bahrain Kubica raised questions as to whether he and the current F2 champion had the same car, and citing the last race, the 35-year-old hinted at the same again.
“I have never driven George’s car so I cannot judge, but you do not have to drive to see some things,” he was quoted by PlanetF1 as telling Polish media.
“It can be said that we have sometimes driven in two different races because the time difference, like on such a short lap as Canada where there are seven corners, shows that there are two different worlds.”
Kubica then appeared to back down a little claiming he too has to take some responsibility for his difficult results.
“It’s a combination of different things. I have some influence on some, as in two or three races I could have been in front of him, but other things happened that did not depend on me,” he explained.
“In addition, George Russell is one of the bigger talents of the young generation with very high skills. He has said the car is better and better, but I don’t want to comment on that. It is his point of view.”

The poor results have led to questions over his future, with Williams reserve Nicholas Latifi linked to his seat last month.
And now his main sponsor Orlen has also raised the possibility of Kubica looking around for 2020.
“This is a job for Robert and Orlen,” president Daniel Obajtek was quoted by Sport.pl. “Everything is on the table, we also have such possibilities. We often talk about this topic.
“A lot here depends on the direction Robert will take. After all, he has a good sense of the sport.”
