    Lopez tops FP2 times for Toyota as Aston martin remain the pace setters in LMGTE Pro at Sebring

    In the dark, the Argentine lapped Sebring in 1m41.730s on his first flying lap of session to ensure nr7 Toyota TS 050 HYBRID tops times in FP2 and beating the time in the earlier session by two tenths.

    The nr8 Toyota was second quickest with Kazuki Nakajima setting the best lap of the session, 0.532s adrift of nr7 car.  Fernando Alonso suffered a high-speed spin at Turn 1 in the nr8 Toyota but recovered to complete his first public night stint at Sebring

    SMP Racing outpace Rebellion Racing as nr17 car placed third with Stephane Sarrazin setting a 1m43.009 lap to get within one second of the best time of the nr8 Toyota. The nr11 SMP BR1-AER placed fourt in hands of WEC returnee Brendon Hartley with the double FIA WEC champion lapping just 0.010s Behind the sister car.

    Alex Lynn kept Aston Martin Racing on top in LMGTE Pro with a fastest lap of 1m57.792s in nr97 Vantage.  Lynn was just 0.033s ahead of nr67 Ford GT of Harry Tincknell, with the nr66 Ford GT third driven by Stefan Mücke with a 1m57.961s lap.

    Stephane Richelmi posts fastest LMP2 time as the Monegasque sets 1m47.716s lap in nr38 Jackie Chan DC Racing car.  Second in class was the nr36 Signatech Alpine Matmut entry with Nicolas Lapierre, with the TDS Racing Oreca once again in third with Matthieu Vaxiviere.

    Gulf Racing’s Ben Barker was fastest in LMGTE Am as British ace peaks on a 1m59.327 late in session in the Porsche 911 RSR.  Barker’s effort pushed Giancarlo Fisichella in Spirit of Race Ferrari down to second, with the nr88 Dempsey Proton Racing Porsche in third with Matteo Cairoli setting a best time of 1m59.457s.

    Free Practice 3 is due to start at 16h15 (local) / 21h15 (CET) Thursday 14 March and will be followed by qualifying at 21h30 (local).
