Alex Marquez (EG 0,0 Marc VDS) took the top spot in Moto2 FP3 after shaving a second off yesterday’s time. His team mate Franco Morbidelli finished in second, with Francesco Bagnaia (Sky Racing Team VR46) just behind in third.

There were a few more crashes in this session, most notably from Thomas Luthi (CarXpert Interwetten), Xavi Vierge (Tech 3 Racing) and Mattia Pasini (Italtrans Racing Team). All riders were okay, and managed to get back on track. Mid-way through the session, it was announced that Vierge would be moving to the Dynavolt Intact GP team for next season, meaning his future in Moto2 is safe once more, but Sandro Cortese and Marcel Schrotter’s are not.

It was also announced that Miguel Oliveira and Brad Binder would remain with the Red Bull KTM Ajo team for next season.
