Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) topped FP3 in a session that followed the style of Moto3.

Very early in, Marquez, Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda) and Alvaro Bautista (Pull&Bear Aspar Team) went down, bringing out the red flag. It was confirmed that the red flags were out not because of track contamination but because of air fence damage even though it looked like Bautista’s bike was leaking oil on the track after his crash. As soon as the session was back underway, Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team) and Johann Zarco (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) fell too.

It didn’t phase any of them as apart from Bautista, they finished in the top eight. Everyone was fighting for their spot in Q2, but unfortunately Jonas Folger (Monster Yamaha Tech 3) and Andrea Iannone (Team Suzuki Ecstar) just missed the cut.
