Ivan Pareras lapped the 4.655km Circuit de Catalunya circuit in Barcelona in 1m 57.241s, outpacing the second-placed Red Camel-Jordans.nl SEAT Leon TCR (#303, Ivo Breukers / Rik Breukers / Bert de Heus / JM Littman) by just 0.254 seconds. Incredibly, Pareras’ time equalled that of teammate – and Spanish countryman – Nil Montserrat, who produced exactly the same time earlier in the session.

Patrik Mathiesen / Joachim Bölting / Tom Wrigley) will start from third on the grid. The third fastest SP3-GT4 entrant meanwhile, the EST 1 Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 (#981, Thomas Padovani / Raimo Kulli / Sten Pentus / Keijo Kaasik / Jukka Honkavuori) will start fifth overall.

With the #303 Red Camel-Jordans.nl SEAT Leon TCR having secured TCR pole position, the Team Bleekemolen SEAT Leon TCR (#100, Sebastiaan Bleekemolen / Melvin de Groot / Rene Steenmetz / Michael Bleekemolen) claimed the next fastest category time in only its second 24H TCE SERIES entry of the year.

Current TCR standings leader MONLAU COMPETICIÓN SEAT Leon TCR (#107, Alvaro Bajo / Alba Cano Ramirez / Jurgen Smet / Jose Manuel Perez Aicart) meanwhile will start from the sixth spot on the grid after setting the third fastest TCR laptime.

With 18 TCR cars confirmed for the 24H Barcelona, this marks the highest number of entrants yet for the category in 2017.

A3 pole position went to the Synchro Motorsport Honda Civic Type R (#176, Alyn James / Daniel Wheeler / Martin Byford) in a tight-contest for the top spot, with less than half a second separating the top two. The MALTI COMPETITION Seat Leon Supercopa MK2 (#128, Philippe Burel / Victor Fernandes / Jean-Marc Rivet / Bob Arezina) and the RKC/TGM Honda FD2-Civic Type-R (#99, Ricky Coomber / Thomas Gannon /David Drinkwater / Andrew Mollison / Mark Symonds) rounded out the category’s top three.

The QSR Racingschool BMW M235i Racing Cup (#154, Jimmy de Breucker / Mario Timmers / Rodrigue Gillion / Emilie Liljeström / Tommy Graberg) netted CUP1 pole position against its sole category rival this weekend, the DUWO Racing BMW M235i Racing Cup (#235, Jean-Marie Dumont / Alexander W. Wetzlich / Nicolas Schmit / Andrey Mukovoz / Stanislav Sidoruk) as the former strives to maintain its lead in the CUP1 standings this weekend.

A2 qualifying honours went to the RECY RACING TEAM BMW 120D (#194, Jan de Vocht / Johan van Loo / Wim Meulders / Thomas Piessens) in a tightly fought contest with the Spirit Racing Renault Clio Cup III (#168, Rob Nieman / Eric vd Munckhof / Frank Bedorf / Stan van Oord / Joey van Splunteren) and the Cor Euser Racing BMW 120D (#71, Cor Euser / Jim Briody / Carel Krieger / Stan van Oord)
