Lando Norris has reassured fans he is fine and will try to be “in the right zone” for this weekend’s British Grand Prix.
The McLaren driver was commenting after a scary incident on Sunday when he was mugged and had his watch stolen by fans as he left the Euro 2020 final at Wembley.
A statement on Monday said Norris was “shaken” but unharmed by the robbery and now the youngster is turning his focus to Silverstone.
“Hi world,” he wrote. “Thanks for all the messages everyone, it really means a lot to see so many messages of kindness and love from you all.

“Thought I’d let you know that I’m doing well and trying to make sure I’m ready and in the right zone for this weekend to perform at my best.
“Love you all and can’t wait to see so many of you back at the track this weekend.”
Indeed, this weekend’s British GP is set to see the biggest crowd at a circuit since the Covid-19 pandemic began with a full capacity of 140,000 expected.
“I’m very, very happy,” Norris said. “I’m delighted in fact, that we can have the British fans back and all of them as well, so I look forward to it.
“We missed it a lot last year, especially doing two races there, and it’s been nice slowly having more and more [fans] through the season already here and there.
“So to go back to my home race, the first sprint race weekend as well so we have that to look forward to, the fans have that to look forward to, but just to have them all back and feeling more normal again is something I’m very excited for.”
