Pirelli has confirmed their 2021 tyre testing schedule for this year following Charles Leclerc’s outing at Jerez this past weekend.

The Monegasque completed 130 laps of the Spanish circuit in a modified version of last year’s Ferrari car, as development of the new 18-inch wheels for next season kicked off for 2020.

It is the first of 10 tests planned for this year, with all 10 teams providing cars to avoid any unfair advantage.

Ferrari though will also conduct the next test as they will douse their Fiorano track in Italy to give Pirelli some much-needed wet-weather running.

Seven of the 10 tests are expected to be focused on the dry weather compounds, however, with the biggest gatherings coming in Barcelona and Silverstone, where three teams will stay on following their respective Grands Prix.
