Nasser Al-Attiyah grabbed a record-extending sixth Cyprus Rally victory on a pivotal day in the battle for European Rally Championship glory.
Mikko Hirvonen might have claimed an eventual third place on his return to the European Rally Championship after 17 years but insisted he just wants to keep having fun rather than contemplate a full-time comeback to stage rallying.
Petros Panteli scored his second consecutive Cyprus Rally win in the European Rally Championship’s ERC2 production category, while Juan Carlos Alonso claimed an emotional maiden title despite completing the whole of leg two with brake issues.
