World RX has issued a revised calendar for the 2022 Championship, as ratified by last weekend’s FIA World Motor Sport Council reunion.

Following the eagerly-anticipated European Rallycross Championship curtain-raiser at Nyirád in Hungary in May, the new era, all-electric World Championship will be officially launched at iconic Swedish circuit Höljes over the course of the legendary ‘Magic Weekend’ at the beginning of July, alongside racing action from Euro RX1, Euro RX3 and the FIA RX2e Championship.

The event will offer fans attending trackside and watching at home a privileged first glimpse of the thrilling cars that will do battle for World Championship glory in 2022 – each of them underpinned by Kreisel Electric’s cutting-edge RX1e powertrain – in their eye-catching colour schemes.

Germany’s famous Nürburgring will then play host to World RX, RX2e and Euro RX3 at the end of July, before Hell in Norway marks a welcome return in mid-August, with the addition of Euro RX1 making for a full house of flat-out, dual-surface entertainment at the Lånkebanen track.

A trio of action-packed double-headers follow at Rīga’s Biķernieku trase in Latvia, Portugal’s Circuito Internacional de Montalegre and Belgium’s Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The campaign will conclude at an as-yet undisclosed venue.
