Red Bull boss Christian Horner is taking 2023 “one race at a time” despite a dominant start to the new Formula 1 season.
The reigning champions have claimed one-two finishes in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia with Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez taking one win apiece.
That has led to expectations that Red Bull will simply walk to both titles again this year.
“Well life is never that simple,” Horner told F1TV. “I’m sure that upgrades are going to be coming through thick and fast as we progress through the season, so I fully expect there to be competition as we progress through the season.

“But we’ve got a great car, the team have done an amazing job, and it’s important we try and capitalise on that early on because we know that the development will come with the others later into the year.”
Asked which races could pose the biggest challenge to Red Bull, Horner was blunt.
“Well, the next 21!” he smiled. “You’ve just got to go one race at a time.”
If Red Bull does have a bogey circuit though, it would be in Australia where the team has had very limited success over the years.
“In Melbourne, Albert Park is another challenge, it’s a different surface, different characteristics there and it’s a race we haven’t won since 2011,” the Briton noted.
“So it’s going to be exciting to go back, but hopefully, we’ve got a good car this year.”
