George Russell has highly praised his season alongside Robert Kubica ahead of the Pole’s final Formula 1 race.
The pair have spent 2019 at the back of the grid as Williams has failed to make enough progress to close the gap on the midfield teams.
And while Russell has often had a healthy pace advantage over Kubica, it is the latter which has the only top 10 of the season, coming after both Alfa Romeo’s were disqualified at Hockenheim.
“I have a great relationship with Robert,” the Briton said via RaceFans. “We get along well.
“He’s an incredibly funny guy. He’s incredibly knowledgeable on the technical side and I learned a lot [from] how he deals with the engineers and the feedback he gives.
“It showed me there was more I need to improve to be more of a complete driver.”

As for what comes next for the 35-year-old, a role as an F1 development driver appears certain but the question is where.
Previously, Haas had voiced strong interest in signing Kubica but now it seems Racing Point will win the fight, with a deal almost done according to GPToday.
The one-time Grand Prix winner has also stated a wish to complete some practice outings as part of his duties and is also rumoured to be teaming up with BMW in DTM for 2020.
