Under the pouring rain Maceo Capietto was the fastest driver in the Formula Regional European Championship first collective test at Imola.

The Frenchman, at his debut in the series with Monolite Racing, has set the best time of 1.55:896.

Second position for Michael Belov, who is second in the championship courtesy of the podium and fifth place achieved in Monza. MP Motorsport’s driver finished ahead the Italian Gabriele Minì (ART Grand Prix), who was the fastest in pre-collective test on Wednesday morning.

In the final part of the session, despite some red flags, several drivers improved including Patrick Pasma, who returned to run in the series just this weekend. The Finnish obtained the fourth best time ahead of his teammates Santiago Ramos and Francesco Braschi.

Pietro Delli Guanti (RPM), Kas Haverkort (Van Amersfoort Racing), Sami Meguetounif (MP Motorsport) and Leonardo Fornaroli (Trident) rounded out the top-ten.

The second session will take place this afternoon at 14.50 local time.
