Three-time Formula 1 champion Sir Jackie Stewart is delighted to see the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort return in 2020.
The British legend won three times at the historic circuit which is currently undergoing an upgrade ahead of its first race since 1985 in May this year.
Although, while the fast, flowing layout is expected to be a challenge and the atmosphere truly electric, Stewart does have one memory of the event.
“Fantastic, but it’s going to be difficult to get to and from the track,” he was quoted by F1i.com.
“Even in my time that was difficult. All drivers stayed at the Palace Hotel in Zandvoort, so we walked to the circuit and had no problems with traffic.
“I don’t know where we will spend the night, but I hope to be there.”

Of course, the return of the Dutch GP likely wouldn’t have happened without the emergence of one driver, who Stewart is gradually more increased by.
“What’s his name again?” he said jokingly belittling the popularity of Max Verstappen.
“He’s very good and drives more and more maturely as he gets older. He’s making better decisions or less often decisions that can turn out wrong.”
Certainly, F1 can expect a partisan crowd with orange and navy blue dominating the grandstands.
