Maverick Vinales emerged from the chaos to take victory at the Virtual Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez.
After an outstanding lap in the qualifying session, Fabio Quartararo took the pole position for the second race in a row.
A poor start, however, gave Alex Marquez the lead into Turn 1 with a huge pile-up which began with Danilo Petrucci on the Ducati and saw six riders fall, including Quartararo.
Francesco Bagnaia would soon claim the lead from the younger Marquez and took a comfortable lead after the latter crashed while leading.
Many crashes occurred during the race, allowing Marc Marquez into podium contention before he was passed by his brother and Vinales after running wide in Turn 2.
The real-life world champion previously re-passed Vinales only to crash himself soon after.
The Yahama rider then saw his path cleared as first Alex Marquez then long-time leader Bagnaia crashed on the same lap, allowing Vinales in front.
From there, he kept his cool and managed to score his maiden win in virtual racing at Jerez.
Alex Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia both recovered to finish second and third respectively, while Marc Marquez and Danilo Petrucci completed the top five of the Virtual Grand Prix of Spain.
In the three virtual races held since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic so far, each had a different winner, with Alex Marquez, Francesco Bagnaia and Maverick Vinales taking the wins.
The Moto2 race saw Lorenzo Baldassarri take the win at the same track he won at in reality last year, while in Moto3, Gabriel Rodrigo took the chequered flag for the Kömmerling Gresini team.
