    WEC Silverstone: Toyota bounce back in FP2

    In the second practice session of the 4 Hours of Silverstone weekend the no7 Toyota Gazoo Racing TS050 Hybrid finished with the fastest time of the day.

    Kamui Kobayashi postثي a 1m36.874 lap of the 3.6-mile Silverstone GP circuit, 0.826s ahead of the no8 Toyota.

    The no1 Rebellion Racing R13, which had gone quickest in the earlier session, was third fastest on 1m37.876, just two tenths behind the second placed Toyota and 0.8 seconds ahead of the sister car, the no3 R13-Gibson.

    The no5 Ginetta got on track after sitting in the garage for the first practice session and posted the fifth fastest lap, a 1m39.600, 0.294 ahead of the no6 Ginetta.

    AF Corse went fastest in LMGTE Pro, with the no51 Ferrari 488 GTE EVO of Alessandro Pier Guidi posting a 1m55.501, 0.265 seconds faster than the best time in FP1. 

    The no91 Porsche was second fastest with Richard Lietz posting a 1m55.665 lap late in the session. The no71 Ferrari was third with a 1m55.907, just 0.029s ahead of the no92 Porsche and 0.069s ahead of the no95 Aston Martin Racing Vantage.

    The no22 United Autosports Oreca was, once again, the fastest in the LMP2 category, with Filipe Albuquerque posting a 1m43.059, shaving 0.007s off his best time in FP1.  The no33 High Class Racing Oreca was second fastest with a 1m43.080 and the no29 Racing Team Nederlands Oreca was third in 1m43.234.

    It was another 1-2 for Aston Martin in the LMGTE Am category with the no98 Vantage setting the pace with the fastest lap of the day, a 1m56.463, 0.096s ahead of the no90 TF Sport Vantage. 

    The no83 AF Corse Ferrari was third quickest in 1m56.591, with the no56 Team Project 1 Porsche fourth fastest in 1m57.060.

    Free Practice 3 is scheduled to begin at 09h00 on Saturday 31 August.
