With a 16-point lead over Andrea Dovizioso and only four rounds to go, Marc Marquez' charge for a fourth title in the premier class could bear fruit if he is to maintain his current form – which has witnessed the Spaniard take top step in four of the last six races.

Speaking at the Allianz Night Run in Cheste alongside brother and Moto2 rider Alex Marquez, the Repsol Honda rider explained that "I'm looking forward to the flyaway races and will see if we can maintain our pace and the advantage we've built up".

However, victory is not certain given the challenging and highly competitive year that has presented itself in 2017.

Marquez went on to add that "There are a lot of strong riders, it's all very close, and there were some crashes because we're pushing the limits, the important thing is to not crash in the race."

"It would be great to arrive in Valencia with the title, but I believe the final round in Cheste could be the title decider."

"There might be some races in the wet during the flyaways, and we'll have to take risks - but avoiding failures and scoring points becomes more and more critical."

"The key is to treat all rivals equally - not only the other two title contenders but also riders like Lorenzo, who can appear at the front like he did in Alcañiz and beat you in a race."

Aprilia's Aleix Espargaro was top Independent Team rider at Aragon, and the Spaniard was fighting in the group for fourth before the Movistar Yamahas of Maverick Viñales and Valentino Rossi were able to just pull away in the latter laps.

But the result brings to an end a difficult run and shows more great progress, and with another good side effect - the battle was a lot of fun.

"I think everyone had fun today. It is not often that so many riders are so close all the way to the chequered flag in MotoGP." Commented the Spaniard

"It was a hard race, but I liked it. At a certain point, I thought that I might be able to have a go at fourth place with Valentino and Maverick, but when there were only a few laps left, they picked up their pace and I had to settle."

"I any case, I am satisfied with the sixth place finish, but especially with the gap behind the winner. We are improving constantly and we demonstrate that basically every weekend." He added

"Unfortunately, we have been lacking consistent race results. In any case, we still have four rounds to go on tracks that I really like, so I want to finish this season well."

Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Marc VDS MotoGP rider Jack Miller will miss the upcoming Japanese GP after breaking his leg on Friday.

The Queenslander was training on a trials bike near his European base in Andorra and fractured the top of the tibia when he put his right foot down to save a slow speed front-end crash.

The Australian immediately travelled to the Hospital Universitari Dexeus in Barcelona, where he underwent surgery on Saturday morning. A plate and eight screws were inserted to stabilise the fracture.

Miller already has some mobility in the injured leg, but will head back to Andorra today to start an intense program of physiotherapy designed to get him back on the bike for the Australian Grand Prix, which takes place at Phillip Island in just over two weeks time.

"Obviously I'm both disappointed and frustrated to have to sit out the Japanese Grand Prix through an injury sustained while training," Begins Miller "Especially as it wasn't even a crash!"

"We were out trials riding and I put a foot down when I lost traction from the front tyre. Nine times out of ten that would have been the end of the story, especially at such a low speed, but this time I must have caught my foot on something and ended up fracturing my right tibia close to the knee."

"The injury has been stabilised with a plate and screws and I already have some movement, but it's clear that I won't be fit for Motegi. However, I am determined to be back on the bike at Phillip Island and that's what I'll be working towards now with the physiotherapist." HE added

Michael Bartholemy, Team Principa saidl: "Jack was extremely unfortunate to end up with a fractured tibia from such a seemingly innocuous incident; it was just bad luck."

"The timing is also unfortunate, as we're about to head overseas for three races in as many weekends, but Jack is adamant that he will miss only next weekend's Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi."

"His aim is to be back on the bike for his home race at Phillip Island and the prognosis is good. He will work now with a physiotherapist to increase mobility in the injury and, together with his doctors, we will make a decision on whether he is fit to ride in Phillip Island immediately after the Japanese Grand Prix."

Andrea Dovizioso had a more difficult race at Aragon after winning back-to-back and then taking a podium at Misano, with MotorLand a more difficult track for the team and a lack of dry track time making the job tougher.

But P7 was the best the Italian could do and he kept it on the road for more points, now 16 down on Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) at the top of the table but some good venues on the horizon - especially Motegi and Sepang.

"It was a complicated weekend and my race was a tough one." Said the Ducati rider "At the start I tried to stay with the leading group, but unfortunately I didn’t have many cards to play: for sure not being able to do many laps on Friday complicated the situation because we knew this wasn’t an easy track for us and that we needed more time to work."

"I don’t think that opting for the soft rear tyre was a mistake, and the drop in performance towards the end of the race in my opinion is due to other factors, seeing as I was losing a lot in some parts of the track."

"Pity about my seventh place but, given the conditions, it was the best I could do today." Added The Italian "There are still a lot of points at stake in the next four races and so we’ll try and make the best of the next opportunities."
