The head of Motorsport UK and three Formula 1 teams are believed to be considering an approach to Prime Minister Theresa May as fears over Brexit grow.
This past week, a prospective deal reached between the British leader and the European Union was emphatically voted down by parliament in the biggest defeat for a government in the modern era.
As a result, however, concerns of a no-deal Brexit are increasing which could have a disastrous effect on teams moving the cars onto the continent and the status of EU citizens after the current departure date of March 29.

Right now seven of the current 10 teams have bases in the UK and if an agreement isn't reached with the EU, it could throw into doubt their participation at the European races which begin with the Spanish Grand Prix in May.
It is because of that, that Motorsport UK's chief Dave Richards spoke to three unidentified teams about the situation with the consensus being that the no-deal scenario must be avoided.
“Something we should be so proud of is the top F1 teams and world champions are based here,” Richards said of the debacle at the Autosport International event recently.
“And we’re going to make their lives difficult [in the case of a no-deal Brexit]. We’ve got to make sure that doesn’t happen.”
